LOCATION CHANGE!!! (Due to sargassum, which we will surely be learning about)
Saturday, August 30th the St. Croix East End Marine Park is hosting another Seagrass Patrol from 9:30am-11:30am at Whale Bay (also known as Brown Bay).
We will be teaching attendees how to use a seine net to catch what lives in the seagrass beds that protect our coral reefs. We will also be learning how to identify and collect data about juvenile species of fish and invertebrates. All of this work will be done sustainably with catch and release techniques that our marine biologists on staff have practiced for years.
It is sure to be a fun and educational day for the whole family.
