Honorees at this show will be “madam voodoo” Judy Perez, “former fire and limbo dancer and broken bottle dancer”; Denise Georges, “former female Moko Jumbie dancer” and Johnny Mc Cleverty Jr., “former Moko Jumbie dancer and still stilts maker.” All entertainers who have contributed to upholding our culture in these islands should be honored while they are still alive not only when they have left.
